3A - Your Entrepreneurship Story

As a Junior in high school I began a business selling necklaces. I started this business because I needed to raise money to fund my mission trip. At the time, tassel necklaces were very in style but selling for $50-$100. I saw the opportunity to make these necklaces and sell them for $20. I could sell them for so cheap because I could use my mom’s old beading supplies from when she ran a jewelry business. I had all the tools and supplies I just needed more beads and to find tassels to attach to the necklaces. At the end of my business venture I had earned a profit of over $1000. It was a very cool experience but took a lot of hard work and some very nice friends to help me bead the necklaces.

I enrolled in this class because I thought it would be a fun yet challenging way to learn more about entrepreneurship. I have heard so many great things about this class and I had the space in my schedule so here I am. From this class, I hope to learn as much as possible about entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship. It is an exciting career path that a lot of people see themselves wanting to take, myself included. I am intrigued and excited for what the semester holds.
